Our Message

Pastors Dennis and Bobbie Jo teach about real life answers to life’s many questions.  They show you how God’s Word can transform your life and help you establish a loving relationship with God. They believe in empowering you and equipping you with God’s Holy Word so that you will be able to use it to make a difference in your life. We are not about Religion we are about a relationship with God.

Here's What We Believe   

The God Head  - Matthew 28:18-20
We believe in the one God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.

The Death & Resurrection - Matthew 1:23
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was  crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man.

The Holy Scriptures - 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.

Equality - Romans 10:12-13
We believe that all men have been created equal and therefore qualify in the personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Sanctification - Acts 26:18 & Romans 15:16
We believe in sanctification through the Word of God by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness of the heart and life.

Divine Healing - 1 Peter 2:24 & Isaiah 53:4&5
We believe in divine healing, through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the redemption.

Water & Baptism of Holy Spirit - Matthew 3:11 & Romans 6:4
We believe in water baptism, in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4) in the gifts of the Sprit, and the evidence of the fruit of the spirit.  We believe that all of these are available to believers in Christ Jesus.

Christ’s Return - Acts 1:11
We believe in the soon coming and personal return of the Lord Jesus for those who are born-again in Christ.

Eternally Lost - Revelation 19:20
We believe the one who physically dies without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the Lake of Fire and has lost further opportunity to repent of their sins.

Our Mission   

The mission of the Chicago House of Praise International Church is to show Christians in Chicago and across this nation who they are in Jesus Christ and how to live an empowering life through their covenant rights and privileges. (Ephesians 4:11 Amplified)

We are called to seek out those individuals who have yet to know or experience the love of God and lead them to the eternal life that was made available to us through the shed blood of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.  (St. Luke 19:10 KJV)

We are called to reveal the full knowledge of God and revelation of His Word, that His people might recognize their identity, realize their potential, and maximize their life through purposeful living.  (Ephesians 4:12 Amplified)

We are called to teach people how to become rooted and grounded in God’s Word in order to operate with proficiency in biblical faith, love, healing, prosperity, and spiritual authority. (Colossians 1:23 Ephesians 4:13 Amplified)

We are called to teach believers how to give God’s Word first place in their lives so that they can become skillful in the Word of God and stand firm in spiritual righteousness against the kingdom of darkness.  (Ephesians 4:14 Amplified)

We are called to develop mature believers, bringing them from milk to meat, from religion to personal relationship and from carnality to supernatural empowerment.  (Ephesians 4:15 Amplified)

This church has the responsibility to proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ wherever God Himself has ordained.  The vision of The Chicago House of Praise International Church is currently being accomplished through the ministry efforts of its staff, the congregation, books, tapes, personal correspondence, and meetings and is multiplied through the financial support of ministry partners and from other ministries of like purpose.
